Naomi Smith

President
Degree: 1st Year Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Science
Major (and any minors): Chemical Engineering and Computer Science
Hobbies: Baking, playing ukulele, learning anything, and binging netflix series
Facts about me: Ever since I was a kid, my personal interests have always laid with science and other STEM fields, so I feel that taking this role will really help me connect with my passions. As for the best kind of science? Chemistry and Geology definitely outrank the rest.
Roles/Goals in AUSca: I’m Naomi, the president of the AUScA committee of 2019. This year I hope to lead the club by increasing communication between year levels so club members feel as though they are part of a family, and aim to do this through a range of social activities including the club’s annual sci ball, quiz night, pub crawls, and other events.

Rhys Morgan

Vice President
Degree: 2nd Year Bachelor of Science (Advanced)
Major (and any minors): Biochemistry & Chemistry
Hobbies: Sleeping, Listening to music, Travelling, Team Sports
Facts about me:  I’d consider myself a bit of a workaholic. I tend to fill my free time procrastinating or working one of my part-time jobs (only if I have any free time :P). But I’m a fun, jokester and I’ll always be up for a drink or two (I’m prone to buying people drinks…)
Roles/Goals in AUScA: My role in AUScA is the Vice-President. I’m the person who can step in to help Naomi in leading AUScA to greatness and support everything going on. My interests will be focused on the pub crawls as well as building industry relations to provide our students with opportunities to expand their university prospects.

Zhale Guseinova

Majors: Maternal Health, Pathology and Forensics
Hobbies: Cooking, sketching, travelling, binge watching documentaries about anything
Facts about me: I would consider myself a very broad person and can easily shift my interests from one field to another. Call me weird but I love practicals which involve cadavers and dissections. One of the facts that I learnt about myself is that I am perfectionists who likes to fix things, whether it’s a watch, laptop or anything else.
Roles/Goals in AUScA: As secretary, my role focuses on administrative duties such as recording and setting up minutes, agenda and actions of each member in our committee. My duties can be broad from recording information during meetings to creating polls and collecting votes during decision making to make sure that there is always diplomacy within AUScA.
